Onimusha: Way of the Sword — How to Change Difficulty

In a Story or Action run, use a Spirit Mirror and select Change Difficulty Level, choose your mode, then use Confirm. Story is the easier option. You can switch in either direction and change back later in the same run.

Change difficulty from your current save

1. Continue your save and interact with an accessible Spirit Mirror.

2. Open Change Difficulty Level in the mirror menu.

3. Select Story or Action. Choose Story to lower the difficulty.

4. Use the Confirm action shown on your screen.

To change back, return to an accessible Spirit Mirror and repeat these steps. You can do this again whenever you want to switch between Story and Action.

Carnage runs cannot be lowered to Story or Action. Carnage unlocks after completing the game; the switching instructions above apply only to Story and Action runs.
