Cusco and the Valley That Was Never Lost: Walking Peru with Lara Croft
I walked Cusco and the Sacred Valley with Shadow of the Tomb Raider in my head: a curved temple wall carrying a church, a single twelve-angled stone, zigzag walls above the city, an unfinished temple where an Inca victory did not hold, a famous citadel that was never lost, and a market selling potatoes and juice at altitude. The game hides a city on purpose; the real valley was only overlooked.
