Onimusha: Way of the Sword costs $69.99 for the standard edition on Steam, $79.99 for Deluxe, and $89.99 for Premium Deluxe, and third-party tracking sampled to October 19, 2026 showed no Steam discount. The Early Adopter Bonus, which added bonus charms and sword appearances, ended on September 25, 2026 in United States time, so it is no longer available. This guide compares the three editions item by item, states plainly which prices are Steam prices and which are keyshop prices, and does not recommend any keyshop.
Quick answer
Standard $69.99 is the base game only. The Lion Dog charm and Sealed Curse sword appearance were Early Adopter Bonus items, not permanent Standard contents.
Deluxe $79.99 adds a 9-item Deluxe Kit: 3 charms, 4 sword appearances, Red Armor costume, and Crimson Lotus gauntlet appearance.
Premium Deluxe $89.99 adds all Deluxe contents plus a 10-item Premium Kit: 3 Musashi Haori, 3 Okuni costumes, 3 Oni Lady costumes, and a 5-track mini digital soundtrack.
No digital edition includes an artbook. Only one low-authority aggregator mentions an artbook, with no itemized support.
Early Adopter Bonus ended September 25, 2026 at 16:59 PDT / 19:59 EDT. In British time that was September 26, 00:59 BST.

1. Edition contents, item by item
Swipe horizontally to view all columns.
| Edition | Price | Contents |
|---|---|---|
Standard | $69.99 | Base game only. |
Deluxe | $79.99 | Base game + Deluxe Kit (9 items): Charms Oni Lady, Little Dancer, Mentor; Sword Appearances Bamboo & Panda, Whittled Oar, Raizan, Enryuu; Musashi costume Red Armor; Oni Gauntlet appearance Crimson Lotus. |
Premium Deluxe | $89.99 | All Deluxe contents + Premium Kit (10 items): Musashi Haori Hellfire, Moonlight, Cloudbiter; Okuni costumes Flower Dance, Goldfish Dance, Oni Dance; Oni Lady costumes Bird Call, Snow Camellia, Elegance; In-Game Mini Digital Soundtrack, 5 tracks including the main theme. |
Two clarifications matter. First, charms are not purely cosmetic: they can enhance Musashi’s abilities, and the Lion Dog charm is described as a hidden buff. Sword appearances, costumes, haori, and gauntlet appearances are cosmetic. No Deluxe or Premium Kit item has been verified to add direct attack or defense stats, so do not describe these kits as pay-to-win equipment. Second, no digital edition includes an artbook: every itemized list checked shows only the 5-track mini soundtrack, and only one low-authority aggregator lists a Digital Mini Soundtrack and Artbook together, with no itemized support. The physical Premium Deluxe edition separately includes a cardboard sleeve and a SteelBook, which are physical items, not Steam digital contents.
2. Early Adopter Bonus: what it was, and why it is gone
The original pre-order bonus became the Early Adopter Bonus when the launch date moved earlier. For Standard, it added the Lion Dog charm and the Sealed Curse sword appearance. For Deluxe and Premium Deluxe, it added those two plus the White Monkey charm and the White Lion sword appearance, four items in total. The official Steam announcement sets the cutoff at September 25, 2026, 16:59 PDT / 19:59 EDT, which was September 26, 00:59 BST. That window has closed: do not buy any edition expecting the bonus items. A separate demo-related reward is easily confused with it: keeping a demo save lets you claim the Kubi Akari charm in the full game, but demo progress itself does not carry over, and Kubi Akari is not part of the Early Adopter Bonus.
3. Steam price status, stated honestly
Third-party tracker SteamCozy has sampled the game twice daily since September 26,
2026. Its last checkable sample was October 19, 2026 at 13:21 UTC, still $69.99 for the standard edition, and the lowest price since tracking began was also $69.99. That means no Steam discount was observed at least through October
19. This check could not verify the live store price on October 24 itself, because the store page fetch was blocked by age verification. The honest statement is therefore: tracking sampled to October 19 showed no discount, and October 20 to 24 is unverified. Do not present October 24 no-discount as a verified store-page fact.
4. Third-party prices: comparison only
Keyshop and aggregator pages show lower prices, and they are listed here only for comparison. They are not Steam prices, and no channel is recommended. On October 25, 2026, an Instant Gaming page showed the Steam standard edition at $56.55, Deluxe at $64.95, and Premium Deluxe at $71.89, with regional listings varying further, including a European standard listing at $49.83 and a Latin American one at $40.31. Aggregator GG.deals showed a lowest standard price of $45.80 from Eneba, described as 34% below $69.99. Prices vary by region and stock. If you buy outside Steam, you accept whatever that channel’s terms and risks are; this guide does not endorse any of them.
FAQ
Which edition should I buy?
Standard if you want the game. Deluxe if you want the 9-item kit of charms, sword appearances, Red Armor, and Crimson Lotus. Premium Deluxe if you also want the 10-item Premium Kit of haori, Okuni and Oni Lady costumes, and the mini soundtrack. No edition changes the story or the ending.
Can I still get the Early Adopter Bonus?
No. It ended September 25, 2026 at 16:59 PDT / 19:59 EDT, which was September 26, 00:59 BST. Do not buy expecting those four items.
Is the game discounted on Steam?
No discount was observed in third-party tracking sampled to October 19, 2026, and October 20 to 24 is unverified. Check the live store page before buying; do not rely on keyshop prices as evidence of a Steam discount.
Do the kits make the game easier?
No verified direct attack or defense stats come with the kits. Charms can enhance abilities, and the Lion Dog charm is described as a hidden buff, but the kits are not verified pay-to-win equipment.
